All the people mentioned about continue to work for a living. I am sure any stint on a cruise ship is very lucrative to the performer too.
Whilst I can’t comment on any of the others, I would point out that Gareth Gates has sung on a cruise ship and well done him for experiencing yet another different venue and audience to sing to. I am sure he was the “Good Entertainment”
Like you say he now has a fantastic career in theatre appearing currently as the lead in Legally Blonde and previously in Joseph and Les Miserables, receiving rave reviews.
Like you say, it does take talent to sustain a career in the music industry and Gareth Gates has loads of it. Yes you need commitment and hard work and this is why he continues to have a full calender for well into 2013.
Hard work is always to be applauded Amy (from me Amy)!

That’s good advice. I missed out the last time Bruce Springstein was in the UK but as soon as I found out he was playing in Manchester in June I made sure of them and booked online as soon as they became available.

Amen to this! I currently use facebook, twitter, websites and youtube to market myself. It does work. You need to somehow get a lot of music to see your work online.

Actually, “Don’t Stop Believing” has been annoying karaoke fans well before Glee got their hack-y hands on it. As a karaoke host, I have been suffering through this plop song for many many moons. On the other hand, where did you find “Peanut Butter Jelly Time” for karaoke? I WANT IT!
